We were appointed by the client to provide a structural report on the feasibility of converting existing warehouse and office spaces into modern gym, restaurant and hydroponic farm. We worked closely with the architect to utilise the existing structure and assisted with structural testing and design. We conducted the site visit and decided on the scope of testing and investigation including concrete testing and trial pits. At later stages we provided necessary structural calculations and drawings to ensure the structure is suitably adjusted to the new loadings. One of the tasks was to calculate the capacity of existing portal frames to check maximum additional loadings from thermo-modernisation of the roof.
